The Growth Company is working with partners to help businesses navigate the impact of US tariff announcements.
Following the news of a 10% duty on all UK imports plus a 25% global tariff on cars, and the 25% tariff on US imports of steel, aluminium and derivative products, the Growth Company’s business support services are here for businesses across the UK.
Get advice and support:
In Greater Manchester, businesses are encouraged to get in touch with the Greater Manchester Business Growth Hub. Through its fully funded support, the Hub has helped tens of thousands of businesses through local, national, and global change and its team of specialist advisors can help companies understand what tariffs mean for their business.
GM Chamber is hosting a free webinar on Thursday 24 April. Join the session to understand what this means for UK companies and how your business can assess and mitigate risks going forward. Register here.
Have your say:
The Government is calling on businesses to give their views on how these tariffs will impact their operations and day-to-day lives to help shape the UK’s response.
The four-week Request for Input, which closes on 1 May, asks businesses to give feedback on the average value of their US imports, the impact of any possible UK tariffs and how they would adjust to them.
You can give your views on the Government website.
GM Chamber is also keen to understand how the tariffs impact your business. They have created a short five-minute survey which will inform their discussions with local and central government about what they can do to help. Complete the survey here.
